As we progressed through the final week of completing the wonders projects, we balanced our regular curriculum with our project exhibits. The children have done a wonderful job meeting all of our academic and project goals. They have been such enthusiastic learners, and are making fantastic connections between our curriculum and their project requirements. We discussed how they have been utilizing their research, writing, and proofreading skills in order to create their project documents. They incorporated their measurement and fractions skills in preparing the actual exhibits and environments for the evening. They have also further developed their life skills of long-term collaboration and drafting and revising until the product matched their vision. The children were very impressed with themselves when they realized how our Project Based Learning has allowed them to demonstrate their knowledge. Comprehending that these are real-life skills is so important for them to know.
